MESSAGE FROM THE
ADMINISTRATION
Welcome to the 2007-2008 school year. For the past three years our students and staff worked diligently on the district and state standards and earned a grade of “A" under our state's A+ Plan. Additionally, during this time our school has successfully met adequate yearly progress (AYP) at the national level in all subgroups that we serve in our diverse population.
Using a student-centered approach, our focus is to further improve our students' performance in reading, math, writing, and science by using a comprehensive curriculum through the use of the latest research methods. This includes holistic learning, supplementary computer assisted instruction, remedial tutoring, customized learning based on students' abilities and other instructional elements.
Since we believe education must take place at home, we strive for our parents, students, teachers, and community to work together to create a supportive environment in shaping our children into lifelong learners.
The Madie Ives Elementary School staff is very proud of our students' successes and will continue to serve your children and provide them with a quality education.
